Noah~

Guess what? It's another post about Noah!! Really its just pictures. Sorry about the red-eye.

Noah had just rolled onto his tummy in these pictures. He was so proud of himself!

One of Noah's favorite things is when Scott swings him into the air. He loves it! and Scott loves hearing his roars of laughter about it!

This is an older picture of Noah taking a nap in Grandpa's arms. He loves the time he spends over at Richard and Jean's. He has become an expert at convincing them to snuggle him all day long.

Hope you enjoyed the updated pictures! I especially like the one with Noah's crazy hair!

This is a picture of Noah that was taken when he was about 4 and a half months old. I'm such a slacker with loading my pictures onto the computer. So as soon as I get that done, I'll post more recent ones.

Mr.Wiggles 6 months old!

The last two nights Noah's woke up at 3am to be fed and hasn't wanted to go to bed after. So we've just put him in his crib and turned the mobile on. He lays there and talks to his mobile, and his stuffed turtle and eventually falls back asleep. I don't know how long it takes him though, because I go back to bed. Yesterday he was so funny when he woke up. When I went in to get him out of his crib, he was turned and looking up at his turtle and talking to him about things. Maybe he was discussing about how he was going to ignore me, because when I went in there and said, "good morning sweet little man!" and put my hands on his waist, he didn't even acknowledge me, just went on talking to his turtle. So I picked him up and he kept looking back at his turtle. Then I put him on the changing table and tickled him and talked to him. he was smiling and stuff, but wouldn't look at me (he's such a little tease!). He just looked all around the room and let out deep sighs in-between his babbling, which was loud enough that the turtle could hear. So I said, "Hey mister!" and put my nose against his and kissed his neck a bunch. then he smiled again and looked into my eyes. silly boy! Anywho. So yesterday afternoon he went to the doctor for his 6 month check up. He was laughing very hard when Dr.Potter was feeling his tummy to make sure his insides were all good. And he was laughing and kicking his legs (I was holding him on my lap) while Dr. Potter was talking to me about all Noah's stats and developments. He loves to hear Dr.Potter talk. After Noah had his shots, he was just screaming and crying, but as soon as Dr.Potter came in to talk to him, he immediately stopped crying to listen to what he was saying. He's such a sweet little boy. He weighs 20lbs and 2 ounces. He's 26 inches long. So he's in the 90th percentile for weight and the 50th percentile for length!

The history of Leah's cars

Last week I bought a new car, well, new to me. So I thought I'd put a detailed history of all my cars up on my blog because I am sure you all care what cars I had, when and why I loved them. Right? Sure. Here we go!

My first car was a 1992 Ford AeroStar. My mom got this car when I was in 5th grade and it was the funnest car that we ever had as a family. I loved it. Then, when I turned 16, my mom got my dad's old Ford Explorer (it was purple, he thought it was like blue or something. That's a different story though) I inherited the 1992 Ford AeroStar. BUT, it was going to be donated to the Kidney Foundation or something because my parents thought it was a piece of trash. Sure, you had to put transmission fluid in it before you drove it, and you had to let it run for like 10 minutes before you drove it every day, but it was the best. My friends, Lindsey and Angie and I would take it to A&W on lunch period and hit this bump they had in the parking lot at full speed. We would fly that van through the air and land hard. It was so much fun! I think that was the only reason that we went to A&W for lunch everyday! Eventually, the kidney foundation took the car from me, and I was so sad. I loved hanging out in that car. I'd pack all my friends in there and drive everywhere in that thing.

My next car was a 1986 Honda Accord LX-i. I bought this car from a lady that worked with my dad. It had a manual transmission, so I basically learned how to drive it that first day. It was crazy driving that thing that first day. I remember I stalled it in the Carls Jr drive thru! Anywho. We called this car; "LeButt" the van, was known as; "LeBus" after the bus company. So it seemed only perfect that we name this car LeButt because it really did have a nice bum. One night while I was out driving like the maniac that I am, I ran a red light and hit a drunk driver. He took off and a police officer that was at the intersection went after him, that's how I know he was drunk. Anywho, I went to a junk yard to get the parts that I needed to fix my car. I bought I black eyelid (the casing for my headlight) and a blue fender. Then my door handle broke, so I got a silver one of those. My car was sort of a champagne color to begin with. My grandma paid for me to get it painted for my 17th birthday. I got it painted black. It was beautiful! Anything that broke on that car, I fixed it. I loved working on my car. It was lots of fun. Then I was driving to work one day and it wouldn't stay in gear. I pulled off to the side of the road, and my dad came and picked me up. My dad is a big believer on, "if its broken, buy a new one!" So instead of fixing my car, we bought a new one.

1995 Suzuki Sidekick
It took me a long time to develop a love and appreciation for this car. It was fun to drive. But I missed my Honda. My dad sort of talked me into this car. He said I needed something that had 4-wheel drive for the Utah winters, which is true. It was in my price range. So I got it. In reality, this was the best car yet. It NEVER had anything wrong with it. I loved it! The speedometer went to 90mph and you better believe that I drove it that fast all the time! Above the glove box there was a big long handlebar that people would hold onto as I drove like my maniac self. Scott called this car a roller skate. My boss called it a jet ski, he'd say, "I didn't know they allowed jet-ski's on the freeway!" If it was at all windy outside, I'd be blown across the road, this car was light as a feather. I grew to love and appreciate this car though. I had some subwoofers in the back and nice speakers, I swear the bass in my car would make it bounce to its destinations. I loved it. But then, last June, I blew the head gasket. I say that -I- did that because if I had been paying attention to the temp gauge, I would've noticed it over heating. It was time to get a new car anyway because I had just found out I was pregnant, and i would need a safer car.

So I purchased a 2007 Subaru Impreza

I love this car, in fact I still own it and it is for sale if anyone is interested!! Its fun to drive. I got the windows tinted, its so nice! It doesn't get blown across the freeway by a gust of wind and it handles very well. However, I have to scoot the passenger seat forward in order to get Noah's car seat in the backseat, and I have to practically jam the stroller into the trunk. Its not going to last very long as a family car. So bought a new car! Yep, I now have three car payments as I am waiting for my Subaru to sell.

My newest car is the 2005 Honda CRV. I love this car. It has a sunroof, something I've never had before! And Noah's car seat fits perfectly in the back. The stroller fits great in the very back and I bet you that I could even get a subwoofer in there as well! I really like this car and I look forward to packing a couple more kids in there as the years go by.

Thanks for reading this extremely interesting post... I'm sure you were as entertained as I was

Rosanne

Add ImageI love the television show Roseanne. You probably think I'm nuts. But here is a little back round. Growing up, I wasn't allowed to watch it, it was considered "trash". You see, my dad went to high school with Roseanne Barr, he wasn't a big fan of her to say the least. I didn't really ever have a desire to watch it when I was growing up. Everything my parents said was always the truth. So when they said that Roseanne was a no good show, I took their word. Flash forward 15 years. I start dating a handsome man with the name of Scotty B, one day he did something unthinkable, he put the TV on Nick-at-Nite and Roseanne was on. "Ugh! this is trash, change the channel" Scott declined, and I was forced to watch the show or leave the room. I watched it, and when another episode came on right after, I watched that one as well. I was hooked. Now, I own the first four seasons. My family thinks that I've lost my mind, I'm sure. I bet my dad has considered disowning me. The reason I don't own any seasons after the 4th is because it almost became a different TV show towards the end of the 4th season. The show was more cynical and just not as funny.

Anywho, I posted this blog because I was just talking to Scott and telling him how I'd like to watch some season one of Roseanne tonight. You're welcome to come over or we could schedule a Roseanne-a-thon!

Here are some pics of our little family. Is it wrong of me that I love Noah's pouting face? Its the saddest thing in all the world, sometimes we wont even know why he's doing it. In this picture, he had just woken up from a nap in Scott's arms. Maybe he had a bad dream or something. Who knows.

motherhood

I know that I probably talk about this all too much. But, being a mother is the best decision that I ever made. It's very hard work at times, but I have never felt so much joy and purpose in my life as I do now. When I was growing up, I didn't want to get married let alone have children. I'm glad that I changed my mind. Every little thing that Noah does melts my heart. Being a mother definitely changes your life and priorities, but its worth all of it. He's growing up so fast, and although I enjoy the new things he does every day, I miss the things he doesn't do anymore. He used to squeak all the time when he was a newborn, and make the sweetest little breathing noises when he'd eat. Now he makes lots and lots of noises like he's telling us stories. I used to rock him to sleep in his rocking chair, and now he just wants to be put in bed wide awake so that he can watch his Jungle Mobile before he dozes off to sleep on his own. He's becoming much more independent of me. He likes to lay on the floor and play with his toys most of the time instead of sitting on my lap. But I love every change and every new thing. I hope that he will have a very long and happy life.

our baby boy

Here are some pictures of Noah, our first child. He was born February 16th, 2009. He weighed 10lbs 6oz and was 21 1/2 inches long! He was born with a full head of dark hair and it has only gotten longer since then.

My first mothers day!

Sunday was my very first mother's day. Scott got up with Noah Add Imagewhen he woke up for the day at 8:30 and let me sleep in! I woke up at 9:30 and went downstairs to where Scott and Noah were hanging out. Noah was sitting on the couch holding a card that said, "mom" on it. The handwriting looked like he wrote it all by himself, I have a sneaking suspicion that it was really Scott that wrote it... Anywho, the card was a picture of Lionus from Charlie Brown holding his blankie, it said, "There are two things that always make me feel better, this and you!" Scott picked that card out because Noah sort of looks like Lionus because of his crazy hair and also because I have a baby blanket from growing up that I'm still attached to. I don't sleep with it or anything, but he is folded up by my bed just in case a monster is to make an appearance and I need protection.
After hanging out with Noah and Scott for a minute, I got myself and Noah ready for church. Primary was first and Noah had the best time. He sat on my lap and smiled at everyone and everything. Then when singing time came about, he decided to start singing along. He was singing very loud, "GAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!! OOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!" Everyone thought he was so cute! Then when singing time ended, he got cranky and was ready for a nap. But he couldn't sleep with the loud primary kids around. So I dropped him off back home with Scott and went back for the rest of church.
Also, my mom is in town because my sister had her baby. So my mom came up to my house for a little bit to visit with us. It was so great to hang out with her. She thought that Noah had grown a ton since she last saw him.

Here it is!

Okay, so for the longest time now, my friends have been nagging me to start a blog. I really dont have an interesting life. I do the same things every day and not much changes. So my argument was that I dont have a single thing to write about. So here is the start of the most boring blog you will ever read!! If you ever need to be put to sleep, log on and read.
